The wilderness with Colour Chemistry

Hi everyone its Katie back again with another layout. This time i have used the new Apple green mister and Diva Acrylic Inks.

This photo was taken at Lulworth Cove in Dorset its such a calming place. I started off by randomly applying texture paste to the page.

To create the distressed rose i painted it with crackle paste and let it dry before painting with the Diva Acrylic ink and dabbing with Vintage Burgundy to show the cracks up.

I stained the paper flowers with Peridot Acrylic Ink and left it to dry. If you use white or cream flowers you can use the injs to dye them any colour you need.

Mix inks into texture paste to create new colours. I used the Acrylic ink so this but the Inks in a Bottle work as well.

A burst of citrus with Oak House Studio

Hi its Katie here with a new mixed media layout. I used the bright and cheerful citrus inks in a bottle.

 Mix some Peridot Acrylic ink with white texture paste and apply to your chosen stencil.

Next apply texture paste to the rest of the layout randomly and let dry before spritzing citrus yellow, citrus green and Pumpkin randomly across the page allowing the inks to blend as they dry.

            Customize paper flowers by dipping them into Acrylic ink or spritzing them with inks in a bottle.

Use the mini texture stamps to add interest to your page by stamping them randomly on the layout.

Back to nature with Oak House Studio

Hello everyone, today I would love to share my love of nature inspired by Oak House Studio`s

English Garden words unmounted Stamp

Here`s what happens when you play with air dry clay, a stamp and inks . . .

. . . they may be a little rough around the edges, the leaves a little dimpled, the snail may have been through the wars { lol }

BUT

I do love the roughness off them along with bursts of inky coloured goodness . . .

the sun came out at just the right time to take these pictures. 

These two little plates have now had a coat of varnish and will be heading to my shed at the allotment to enjoy our fresh produce on over the coming months.

{ sorry I got carried away and didn`t take any before photos}

Just knead your dough till it`s warm and pliable, roll it out to whatever thickness you want and apply your stamp.

 Be sure to leave it for a few days to air dry before sanding and getting messy with the inks . . .spraying, splatting, brushing, having fun!

Colouring and having courage with Oak House Studio . . .

Hi everyone, Tracy here today sharing the first project that I created using 

Oak House Studio`s

 Inks in a bottle

I remember the day my parcel arrived to create my layouts, I could not wait to try them out!

 Canvas, pencil and a little doodle dooooing later I came up with my girl

 " Courage "

Mixing together the inks from the French Quartet to colour her wings . . .

 adding the teeniest amount of ink to acrylic white paint for touches of blush . . .

the background . . . more deeelish Ink applied using a baby wipe to work it into the canvas, a drop goes a long way using it like this.

I remember going over the wings and background working the inks in with baby wipes and brushes until I was happy before

 flicking and splatting a few of the inks to break up the background. 

I honestly can`t begin to tell you how much fun I had using the inks to create my wings, background and blushing cheeks on my girl

how super quick it is to cover a canvas with ink using baby wipes.

I hope you have a go and enjoy all the splatters and splots along the way!

Childhood is the most beautiful of all seasons ~ Colour Chemistry

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a crafty time. Tracy here today with the final layout to share, you will find them all in this months issue of Scrapbook Magazine.

By now you  can probably tell I have a love for layers and old book pages, they work so well with the range of products from Oak House Studio.

 Spraying through masks to add interest to the book papers, inking and stamping, splatting and flicking . . . oh my what a time I had!

I felt like a chemist mixing my Gesso and modelling paste with splots from the Inks in a bottle.

 Oh, did I mention the inks I have been playing with are the The French Quartet collection, deeeeelish!

Using them like watercolours to colour the images, splodging and flicking to create pretty flowers , who thought splodges could look so pretty,lol!

Above all watch with glittering eyes . . . Colour Chemistry Galore

 Hi everyone, Tracy here and excited to share the layout I let you have a sneak peek at in my last post.

What makes me happy . . . old book papers, music sheets, tissue paper, doilies, lace, cupcakes and threads . . . hmmmm how to combine them all in a layout with bursts of colour . . .

. . . ink, ink . . . Ink in a Bottle, beautiful vibrant colours sprayed, splatted, squished and dried to create a co ordinating  layout.

I honestly wished I had taken a picture of my hands after this one . . . beautiful vibrant rainbow coloured happy hands!

All for the love of inks ~ Colour Chemistry

Hi everyone, my name`s Tracy Easson and I`m so excited to be here as a guest designer for

 Oak House Studio, thank you for having me!

 I was over the moon when I received a commission from Scrapbook Magazine to create three layouts using products from the Colour Chemistry range for this months Issue.

 It was as if Christmas had came early when the box of goodies arrived at my door!

Can`t wait to show you over the next few posts the layouts and a few other projects I popped together. 

 Oh the joy of creating with the yummiest of inky coloured goodness and stamps galore.

Getting messy inky happy hands, mixing colours to create new shades, stamping and adding them to Gesso and Modelling paste ... my idea of bliss!

Here`s a peek at the next layout I`m sharing
