get sorted for 2012

I have been working on a teaching calendar for 2012. Calf House Artists have met to fix dates for Summer school etc. and so I can tell that I will be teaching summer school in July AND August. If you can't wait that long then here is an image from my Club Class group, these guys meet on Wednesdays for just two hours. Here is last weeks project.

The idea was to learn about masking and wet in wet water colour techniques. I do like to show them something they haven't tried before or get them to re visit products they haven't used recently.

As they come every week they tend to be the folks who get to see what's new round here first plus they get at least 10% off everything they buy at the studio, and chance to book other workshops ahead of the crowd, now you know why they call it VIP Club Class.

Make it Pink projects

Well eventually download the photos from last weekend to my computer.
Here are a few images of the alcohol ink project from the Make it Pink day. I think I can safely say all who tried it love it and for most alcohol inks were a new product to try.

Making it PINK!

This weekend we held our regular MAKE IT ! PINK! in aid of breast cancer charities. You propably know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we generally celebrate with Pinks Fridays that inevitably spill over into Saturdays for the those folks have to work on Fridays.
My usual format was in Place £1 gets a cup of tea or coffee with a bun suitable iced in stunning pink!
The Craft folks gets to make a project if they prefer which costs them £5. All the £1 and £5 go to the charity.
This time we did two projects one of new crafters who got to explore chalks and one for more established crafters who got to add colour to acetate either with Alcohol inks or staz on.
I have taken photos but can't seem to access them at the moment so will have to post them later.

what's happening

It has been amazing few weeks at the studio, and still I haven't blogged!! we have had a number of events and this week Tracey has the amazing Barbara Becker Simon teaching at her studio. Barbara arrived on Tuesday so came up to the studios to look around yesterday. I was teaching so no chance to really be a fan and tell her how much I like her work. Today I really must go to the studios and get ready for my MAKE IT PINK event which is this Friday and Saturday at Calf House Studios in Bishop Burton, please try and come. For more details look at VIP Stamping.

top secret

Sorry I can't show the projects I am working on until October. And I am still working on the class list for this term but it WILL be finished for the weekend when I start taking bookings. I will be at the studio on Friday to catch up with my students and start taking class bookings 10am to 3pm. On Saturday the whole gang are there for Heritage Day 10am to 5pm so great chance to bring along the rest of the family and have a look round the farm. There will be 10% of all workshops booked over the 2 days.

Club Class Homework

Last week we had a Club Class session with some new faces. What did we do? well we drank tea and cried with laughter, oh crafting you mean, Well we "explored" Pentel chalk pastels We had an endless supply of ATC sized Stamping Card and packs for Pentel Chalk Pastel, some inks and a big pile of Oak House Studio Stamps. This week I made myself " do something" with my ATC sized cards. I had to ensure I didn't spend too long on that part of the process, I just made myself "finish" something. So these are 3 tags I made from my cards. I wanted to be quick, so tearing and maybe an extra bit of chalk round the edges. If you fancy being part of the Club Class thing give me a ring to find out more OR pop by next Saturday when the studios are open as part of Heritage Weekend.

Here are few photos to show you I have been working! Some of you may be wondering why I am managing to blog a bit more. BEN is the answer.
He has been coming to the studio with me. It has been great having company, someone to clean my stamps and do piles of die cutting ; 0. BUT also he "plays" with the camera too and gives me extra time in the morning cos he ain't up yet!!.
I am off for something to eat as I have been up hours, enjoy these ....
