Layered Daisy with Inky Background

Hello Sylvia here with a card using the One Stamp double daisy stamped onto a very vibrant inky background.  The card was photographed standing on the remaining sprayed background

The inky background was created by spraying Colour Chemistry inks randomly onto a pearlised pattern paper.  When completely dry I cut out my three squares, stacked them on top of each other and stamped and embossed the large outline daisy.  Each square was then mounted onto black card and layered with sticky fixers.

 totally turquoise and French mint

Oak House Studio black pigment ink pad.
White and black card and a dots border cutting die

The left hand border was diet cut and backed with a strip of  the inky background paper,  a sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the card and the inky daisy attached.  This is another quick CAS card with the benefits of getting inky making the background.

Daisy Box File

Elaine here with a storage idea using the Double Daisy sets.  The other day I was looking at the pretty boxes in WHSmiths but didn't really like the designs or the prices for that matter.  So I wandered further into the shop and found this - a plain kraft box file - and just what I needed for storing scrap card and stuff for collages etc.

I've used both sizes of the Double Daisy and stamped using Black Versafine and Sea Blue Pigment Ink and filled in some of the spaces with the small texture stamps using Sea Blue and some Grass as Green Pigment Ink too. It's still a work in progress and  I can see me colouring or doodling in the daisies as the weeks go on!!

Now this project looked gorgeous in my head but sometimes reality dawns.  My first stamping didn't go well - the box wasn't solid enough to stamp on properly and the surface is quite rough.  I nearly gave in!  However I had another go and just used the stamps without a block which gave a better impression.  It's still a bit rough in places and I kept dropping the stamps but any stray ink marks will get covered up with the texture stamps.

I hope you agree it still looks better than a plain kraft one and I now have somewhere to store my card offcuts etc.  Hopefully this has inspired you to have a go at making something other than a card and to persevere if things go wrong!!

Things I used

Double daisy stamp set

Solid Daisy Border 

A selection of inks and ink pads

10 pearlised flat back beads from your stash

A clear sparkle brush pen

Large post it's for masks

and finally to finish off the edges a wide chisel tip Gold marker pen.

I drew round both sides onto card to and cut out. I decorated both panels as above and glued them onto the letter rack. The gold marker pen tidies up the edges.

Delicate Daisies

Elaine here with another project using the Double Daisy set - this time the medium set.

I don't usually make anything so pale but thought I'd have a play with a vellum overlay.  Here I've  stamped the medium Outline Daisy onto some white vellum with white ink and I've blended some Orchid Pigment Ink behind them. I then glued this to some lilac card and cut out the top of the flowers.  I've added this to some purple card and finished with a little ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Friendly Words set.  Vellum is notoriously difficult to fasten but I just hid the glue behind the centre of the flowers and ribbon!

Medium Charming Butterfly

Paris Pink Pure ink made into a spray

Gold acrylic ink 

Plus 2 gems for embellishments. A black fine line marker.

This is a simple and straightforward card to make, just needs a little time set aside for drying to get the best from your inks. 

I used an A4 piece of water colour card which I stamped with the Versamark and embossed using clear embossing powder, 6 daisies using the Outline stamp from the double daisy set.

Then I sprayed with Colour Chemistry Paris Pink bottled ink, and left this to dry slightly then using a spray made with Colour Chemistry Acrylic gold ink. Which adds a lovely sheen to the card.
 Wait until the inks have dried and then flick water over the card randomly and leave for a couple of seconds and blot water off with a tissue, this removes some of the colour.

I cut a panel of the watercolour paper to the card blank using just 3 of the daisies. 

Stamp onto the card blank using the Butterfly stamp and the Birthday sentiment set, which contains scrolls etc. 

I painted the butterflies & scrolls with a little Pure Colour Chemistry ink. 

I fixed the panel onto the card using Hi Tac tape. I have used gems in the centre of the flowers.

Double Daisy Card With Gesso Background

Hi Sylvia here with another One Stamp Project.  This is a quick and easy card to make whether you are an experienced crafter or new to stamping/crafting.  I used the resist technique for the background using gesso but you can use stamping and embossing, or just clear embossing ink to get the same effect on your backgrounds.

Materials used

Oak House Studio double daisy stamp set 

Oak House Studio , dusky rose, powder blue, sea blue and black pigment ink

I used the solid pallete stamp for the background, stamping it with gesso.  When it dried I blended the pink and blue pigment inks over the whole card.  The gesso daisies appear like magic as you add the coloured inks.  The outline daisy was stamped onto plain card with black ink  and heat embossed.  It was coloured with the pink and blues, fussy cut and added to the card. 
The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto the card to finish.

Bespoke Colour Double Daisy.

Double Daisy for One Stamp Project

For my project for the ONE STAMP challenge I have made a nice easy card for you using Oak House Studio PURE colour chemistry ink and the outline daisy stamp

I started by stamping the main daisy image onto watercolour card with Black Archival ink.

Next I coloured the daisy images using PURE Colour Chemistry inks in Totally Turquoise and Jubilee Blue. Once the ink was dry I cut the daisies out.

I added some pitch black glass glitter to the centres of the daisies for sparkle.

Then using a circle die I created base card and attached the daisies around the edge. 

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment and added this to the centre.

I love the vibrancy of the Oak House Studio PURE Colour Chemistry inks and so will you.
