Build Your Own Poinsettia

Elaine here again with my third Christmassy card - this one uses the Bumper Winter Leaves Stamp set and the Christmas Wreath Stamp set.

This time I've used the 3 different sized Poinsettia leaves and the centre from the Bumper Winter leaves set - these have been embossed (four times) with Red powder on card coloured with Jubilee Red Ink in a Bottle and Valentine Pigment Ink. I've also embossed another 4 of the larger leaf with Welbeck Green powder on a card sprayed with Citrus Lime Ink in a Bottle. I've arranged the leaves into a flower using silicone glue for dimension and added some red seed beads to the centre. As it's Christmas I've also added touches of Lime Green and Christmas Red Stickles.

The card is an easel card and I've used the solid leaves from the Christmas Wreath Stamp set to decorate the base. The Happy Christmas is also from this set.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards this week. I'm happy as I've now got 3 cards I can post this year!! I've also got lots of leaves left over from the original A4 sheet sprayed green and A5 sprayed red so I'm off to make more.

Lynnda has lots of other Christmassy (and non-Christmassy) stamps on the website so go check it out HERE. There's still plenty of time to make cards and if you've done all your cards, then there is gift wrap and tags to make too!!

Boughs of Holly

Elaine here with another Christmas card featuring the Deck the Halls Stamp set from Oak House Studio......and yes, I am still singing!

This card uses two of the word stamps in the set plus the Holly Leaves from the Bumper Winter Leaves set.  I've tried to create a bough of holly, with ribbon and red beads overlying the Fir Sprig base.  The Fir Spring is from the Christmas Collection and is randomly stamped in a curve across the page with Forest Green Pigment Ink.

I'm again using the Citrus Lime Ink in a Bottle sprayed card (the leftovers from my last card), blended on some Forest Green Pigment Ink and embossed the Holly Leaves with Welbeck Green embossing powder.

I've edged the textured card with Gold Acrylic paint and then added some Lime Green Stickles to create some sparkle.  It's then been mounted on some maroon card.

Apologies for the photo - it's so dark and dull here - but I hope I've captured the sparkle and brightened your day a little.  Many thanks for looking!!

Tis the Season

Elaine here with a wintery card featuring a new set of stamps that fell through my letterbox -  I just had to have a play!  It's the Deck the Hall Stamp set from Oak House Studio - they're a great set and luckily there is no sound on this blog as they make me want to sing!!

My card today uses just one of the three word stamps in the set plus the Ivy Leaves from the Bumper Winter Leaves set.  I started by spraying my backgrounds with Ink in a Bottle - Bobby's Grey through a brick wall stencil and Citrus Lime on some A4 stamping card.  I've embossed the Ivy Leaves with Welbeck Green embossing powder, then blended over some areas with a little Forest Green pigment ink and cut them out.

As you can see, I've used a grey base card, added a square of the Citrus Lime card, the brick wall edged with silver embossing powder and  finished it off with some ribbon.  I specifically used the Tis the Season stamp to create this wintery card - it doesn't just have to be for Christmas!!

Hope you like and thanks for looking!!
