Take 5 Challenge - Cute As A Button

Hello everyone Sylvia here with a card for this month's Take Five Challenge Rainbow Colours. I used the Stitch In Time stamp set and a selection of Pure Colour Chemistry inks for this bright fun card and had fun making the splatter background.

The plain heart was stamped onto scraps of inky card and fussy cut to make petals for the flower, the etched heart was stamped for the leaves.  The three buttons were also stamped onto coloured card and fussy cut.   I managed to find the full range of rainbow colours in my box of scraps to cut out the hearts and buttons.

To line up the hearts for my flower I glued them to a small circle of card so I could make sure they were even before attaching them to the card.  The two buttons were layered together with sticky pads and glued to the base of the hearts.

The splatters were created by dipping a paintbrush into pure colour chemistry ink and flicking the whole brush or flicking the brush end with your finger.  I would suggest that you use a box to place your work in for spraying or flicking inks, this will prevent ink getting over your work surface.

A die cut banner was stamped with the cute as a button sentiment and the third button attached to it, the flower, leaves and banner were attached to the card with 3D sticky pads.  A flower stalk was drawn and a few crystals added to finish the card.

I hope this has inspired you to join us in the take 5 challenge this month.  We look forward to seeing your colourful projects throughout the month, just post your challenge entry on your blog ot Facebook page and make sure you tell us it is there.

Very colourful striking card, and all the elements look so great together. The heart petals and leaves are fabulous - I think I'll use that idea soon for an anniversary card.
