It is the 14th today so time for a new challenge in 2014. March brings Mother's Day and the Spring Equinox and so what better topic than flowers. At Oak House Studio we are well know for our floral stamps, so dig out your Oak House Studio stash and make us a project on a floral theme. As usual you have to the end of the month to share your entry with us. Either post on your blog or leave a photo on our Facebook page. Please remember to tell everyone what products you have used.
Then leave us a comment on this post to tell us where you entry is. You can enter as many times as you like. Each Project Photo will be one entry into the drawer.
This months winner will be the first person to own a brand new stamp design.
Here is just a snap shot of how the design team sometimes all think alike, I say "floral" and three people do a variation of yellow roses! But even then they are all different! More inspiration from the design team soon.
Notes from Lynnda Worsnop and others involved in Oak House Studio, a Yorkshire based stamp and ink company.

Winner to February Challenge.
Well this was our first of this kind and I have to thank the Design Team for all their card projects and our customers for all their projects too. I have a great time even if I didn't quite as much crafting done as I intended.
I have written out all your entries and persuaded Bob the dog to help me pick a winner.
Oh you want me to tell you has won... The winner of the February Challenge is Christine. Christine I will be in touch on Facebook to organise getting your prize to you.
I will leave you with two more projects from the Senior Design team. SuzeJo Murphy has been busy with the double daisy set which is always my first choice when I want to get arty. Finally Barbara Daines with her favourite butterflies.

I started this project with 3 two inch squares cut from scraps of mount board and a precious 2 inch square piece of stampbord.
I used lemon yellow ink direct ti the mount board and to the stampbord.
I stamped the linen square stamp on to two of the card squares and on to the stampbord.
On the stampbord I added some daffodil ink to the edges. I added Mountain Ash leaf images with Spirng Green pigment ink.

New Challenge for February
Welcome to another challenge from the team at Oak House Studio.
It looks like we may be doing a few challenges so I have written a set rules that will stand for all challenges although each challenge may have some twist.
The twist this month is an extra special prize. I will be putting together a gift box with ink pads, inks in a bottle and embossing powders and of course stamps!! There will be at least £60 worth of product in the box. So now you want to know what you have to do.
Well our theme is citrus colours, you can make any project you like as long as you follow the colour theme AND you use at least one Oak House Studio product. So you could use our lovely citrus inks in a bottle or maybe you will use one of our Pigment inks in spring green. Maybe you will use one of our stamps and someone else's inks!
Whatever you decide to do, we need to see your project, so post it on your blog and leave us a comment with a link direct to your blog post. Make you sure we know which Oak House Studio products you have used.
If you haven't got a blog you can post your project on our facebook page but again remember to tell us what Oak House Studio product you used.
The challenge will run until the end of the month.
I am off to get the design team started on making some projects to inspire you.

New Year New You
How many times have you seen a title or banner like that this month?
Too many I guess. But January is a time for reflection and hoping for the new year to bring some progress towards where we think we want to be in life.
I thought I would share something I started doing a few year ago. Making a card to send yourself. Something you can have out and in your eye line to remind you to be good to yourself or why you are going through what ever it is. Over the years I have developed this into a "postcard" an A6 card or 15 cm by 10 cm OR 6 inches by 4 inches in old money. All three of these measurements are slightly different but they all serve the purpose. I like it because it is a nice discreet size, you can add it to a greetings card or buy a photo frame for not very much money.
So today I am going to challenge my design team to make a postcard to themselves and you can join in if you wish. My challenge to you all is take a piece card (sizes above) and make something you want to look at this year. It maybe words or pictures or both. I would love to see what you do. You can always make one for a friend too if you like or better still get them to be creative for themselves.
Please feel free to post your projects on our facebook page, or leave a link to your project on your blog here. I will put together a special kit for someone who inspires me with their project. I will select a winner on 26th January 2014.
Here are a few I made to frame for my house now the builders have finally left, I made so many I have some to spare.

Christmas Greetings
Morning everyone, Barbara here.......at last I've found FIVE minutes to write a quick blog. Apologies for being AWOL for so long, the only excuse is busyness (if that is even a word)
Just wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a happy, healthy 2014.....I'm looking forward to the new year and working with new Oak House Studio inks and stamps. I have quite a few ideas, so hopefully will be able to get blogging more often.
In the meantime, here is a Christmas wreath, made with OHS leaf set...
Hope you like it...
I'll be back in January, have a great Festive Season
Barbara
xx
