Alphabetica butterfly

Hi it's Clare here with a little bit of inspiration for this months challenge 'Alphabetica'. Remember there is a fantastic £40.00 prize for you to spend on Oak House Studios wonderful products.
When I started this card I was really just having a play just to see what happened. That's what I love about the Oak House Studio inks, no two cards are ever the same and the possibilities are endless.

For this card I used:
Citrus ink
Paris pink ink
French mint ink
Butterfly stamp and sentiment
Black fine line pen

To make this card I just randomly dropped the above inks onto my card, took a straw and blew! It was great watching the colours blend to make new colours. I set it aside until it was completely dry and then took a fine line pen and outlined all of the inky marks. After that I randomly stamped the butterfly, then stamped and heat embossed the sentiments. On a separate piece of card I stamped the butterfly and carefully coloured in using the same inks that I had used to make the background. I carefully cut out the butterfly and applied it to one of the blank butterflies on the card.

I had lots of fun making this card and it will be a technique I will be trying again soon. Thank you for taking the time to look at my post. Time to get your Oak House Studio hat on and enter that challenge!

Crafty hugs,

Clare x x x
