Looking back at my projects with Oak House Studio stamps

I've had such a wonderful year this year and have been very fortunate to be working with Oak House Studio products. Lynnda asked us to choose some of our favourite moments, this proved to be tricky with so many fabulous stamps to choose from.

This card was so much fun to make it really sticks in my mind as being one of my favourites. I can remember being more then a little bit inky after making this one.

This was the very first card I made for Oak House Studios DT. I can remember being extremely nervous as I wanted to get it so right. It was the something blue challenge.

Using Oak House Studios inks, stamps and ink pads have not been a challenge. This is one of my makes from this years one stamp challenge. I had never been involved in a project such as this but it was exceptionally good fun.

This one was from the autumn colours challenge. I love these leaf stamps and the gorgeous colourful inks in a bottle made light work of colouring them in.

That was a round up of some of my favourite Oak House Studio makes of this year.

Thank you for taking the time for having a look.

My review of the past year with Oak House Studio.....

Hi everyone, thought I'd have a look back at my Design Team projects during 2014, and choose a few of my favourites. If you've followed my journey with Oak House Studio, you'll see that I love getting inky, but I also love clean, elegant cards. I've picked out a few cards which echo these facts, so here they are.....

This was one of my very first cards, made by stamping and layering the sunflower numerous times.....(seemed to take ages, but worth it)

I only used the English Garden stamp here, but  by now, I'd been introduced to the Colour Chemistry inks, and was 'hooked'!

English garden, butterfly set , spray inks and white embossing powder, all from Oak House, of course.
I adore these coloured inks, and I use and recommend them in all my workshops.

Same as above, on this card, but I chose a couple of new ink colours....still love these, and use them almost every time I craft.

One of my clean & simple cards, using Colour Chemistry inks and the daisy stamp.

Then we came to the 'one stamp challenge', using the Walesby hearts. Must admit I was stumped on this one, and procrastinated for days of what to do....it got 'til about 2 hours before the challenge ended when, boom! I came up with these cards, and I loved them....

All inks, stamps and embossing powders from Oak House.
So I went from having nothing in mind, to making a few cards, which sold the minute I put them out at my next craft sale....happy days!

This little card was made for the mini 'one stamp' in October.....I stamped the envelope too, which finished the set off perfectly.
Love this pretty little 'Christmas corner' stamp, and have used it for a lot of my Christmas cards this year.

This set has been one of my favourites, and was my most recent project..... I LOVE the clean look, and of course red, green & white go so well together.
I used the Christmas Wreath Set for this project.

I'm now using Oak House Studio stamps, inks and embossing powders in my monthly workshops, and they're proving to be very popular....

Well, that's it for now, hope to see you all again in 2015, but if not, just enjoy your crafting, and keep blogging your creations.
Merry Christmas,
Barbara

My Year at Oak House Studio by Elaine Kettle

Elaine here with a few of my favourite projects for 2014.

Lynnda asked me to choose one but to be honest I can't just pick one - the stamps lend themselves to lots of different styles so here are a few:

I started the year doing  Wedding Samples using watercolour paper sprayed with Ink in a Bottle and the Rose stamps.

I like the different looks you can achieve with few supplies.

This is my No 1 favourite ......I think.

Using the Circles and Flowers and Kiss Stamping - great fun!   It's bright, colourful and with lots of interest.

An inky Under the Sea journal page with the Mountain Ash and Oak used as seaweed etc.  My favourite colours - blues, greens and a pop of orange from the Shells and Sealife stamps.

And lastly, a Christmas one which was really fun to do - how many presents under that tree?   So thanks for looking and many thanks for all your lovely comments over the year - it makes blogging all worthwhile!!

Merry Christmas

Christmas wishes and a fond farewell!

Wow this last three months has whizzed by. Loved being part of the team and meeting the fab lady behind it. We'll be making plans to meet up for some face to face crafting in the new year! In the meantime I'll be crafting away with the bits I get from my latest order which I can't wait to get my hands on! And here are my final two pieces for the OHS blog.
Products used on the Christmas Ornament:
This Christmas ornament was a bit of fun and experimentation. I have been trying to use some old embossing powders so I covered this wooden ornament with Versamark ink, added the powder and heat embossed. Once cool I stamped over with the Winter Words stamp using the lush red ink pad (Valentine). I then stamped the medium Poinsettia stamp onto red card twice, cutting out bits and layering them, and stamped once onto green card to create the leaves. I added stickles glue and beads to decorate.

Products used for the square card:
This card was a variation on my previous blog post, but I wanted to show how a small change can make it look different so I used alcohol inks on the center piece before stamping with the beautiful Decorative Diamond Stamp. As per previous post, I layered onto coloured card, stamped the sentiments from the Sending You Peace and Joy sentiment set and added some pretty gems.

I'be been great fun working with such beautiful products.
Have a fab Christmas and New Year all!!!

2014 Review - My Oak House Design Team Favourite Projects

Hi everyone, we are now into December and I am amazed how quickly the year has gone.  2014 has been a year of ups and downs for me, joining the Design Team for three months then being asked to join the Senior Design Team was one of the highlights this year.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Lynnda and all the lovely ladies on the Design Team, making friend and of course using the fabulous stamps and inks from Oak House Studio.

It is difficult to pick one project or stamp as a favourite so I have picked one project from each month and, as Christmas is nearly here, one project from the last one day one stamp event using the Christmas Corner stamp.

June - These blue tags were my first introduction  to the Colour Chemistry bottle inks, pigment inks and stamps.  The Double Daisy stamp and Triple Butterfly Set were used with Totally Turquoise and Spode Blue inks.  Once I received my first order I was hooked and of course had to order more.

July - Wedding card using hearts from A Stitch In Time stamp set which has hearts, buttons, sentiments and faux stitching, an amazing stamp which would be ideal for Valentine cards.  The card was spritzed and splashed with Paris Pink ink .

August - Shadow stamping with the Large Spring Blooms set, embossing powder and the gorgeous Double Daisy stamp.  stamped using Golden Yellow and Yummy Chocolate pigment inks and coloured with Citrus Lemon bottle ink.

September -  Autumn colours wreath created using pigment inks and the Mountain Ash Leaf stamp, finished with a sentiment from the Script Sentiments set.

October - Borders and Frames using the new Block Frame stamp and Christmas Blessings sentiment, pigment inks and the Oak and Beech Tree stamps.  The snow scene was created with an ink duster and Powder Blue pigment ink, the trees were stamped in Slate Grey.  The frame and sentiment were embossed with detail silver embossing powder.

November -  Christmas wreath created using the Christmas Wreath stamp and pigment inks.  Pigment inks were added to the stamps and spritzed with water before stamping to give a watercolour effect.

One Day One Stamp Event - What a wonderful day with  projects from the Design Team and from you lovely ladies through the Inkspired By Oak House Studio Facebook Page.  I will be using this Christmas card holder this year and put it away for future years, it was great fun to make using the Christmas Corner stamp and wooden pegs.

I hope you have all had a good year and have had as much pleasure as I have from using your Oak House Studio inks and stamps and I look forward to seeing your projects as they are posted on the Facebook page.  Also looking forward to seeing the new products Lynnda will be adding to the shop soon and adding them to my collection.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and happy and creative New Year.
