2014 Review - My Oak House Design Team Favourite Projects

Hi everyone, we are now into December and I am amazed how quickly the year has gone.  2014 has been a year of ups and downs for me, joining the Design Team for three months then being asked to join the Senior Design Team was one of the highlights this year.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Lynnda and all the lovely ladies on the Design Team, making friend and of course using the fabulous stamps and inks from Oak House Studio.

It is difficult to pick one project or stamp as a favourite so I have picked one project from each month and, as Christmas is nearly here, one project from the last one day one stamp event using the Christmas Corner stamp.

June - These blue tags were my first introduction  to the Colour Chemistry bottle inks, pigment inks and stamps.  The Double Daisy stamp and Triple Butterfly Set were used with Totally Turquoise and Spode Blue inks.  Once I received my first order I was hooked and of course had to order more.

July - Wedding card using hearts from A Stitch In Time stamp set which has hearts, buttons, sentiments and faux stitching, an amazing stamp which would be ideal for Valentine cards.  The card was spritzed and splashed with Paris Pink ink .

August - Shadow stamping with the Large Spring Blooms set, embossing powder and the gorgeous Double Daisy stamp.  stamped using Golden Yellow and Yummy Chocolate pigment inks and coloured with Citrus Lemon bottle ink.

September -  Autumn colours wreath created using pigment inks and the Mountain Ash Leaf stamp, finished with a sentiment from the Script Sentiments set.

October - Borders and Frames using the new Block Frame stamp and Christmas Blessings sentiment, pigment inks and the Oak and Beech Tree stamps.  The snow scene was created with an ink duster and Powder Blue pigment ink, the trees were stamped in Slate Grey.  The frame and sentiment were embossed with detail silver embossing powder.

November -  Christmas wreath created using the Christmas Wreath stamp and pigment inks.  Pigment inks were added to the stamps and spritzed with water before stamping to give a watercolour effect.

One Day One Stamp Event - What a wonderful day with  projects from the Design Team and from you lovely ladies through the Inkspired By Oak House Studio Facebook Page.  I will be using this Christmas card holder this year and put it away for future years, it was great fun to make using the Christmas Corner stamp and wooden pegs.

I hope you have all had a good year and have had as much pleasure as I have from using your Oak House Studio inks and stamps and I look forward to seeing your projects as they are posted on the Facebook page.  Also looking forward to seeing the new products Lynnda will be adding to the shop soon and adding them to my collection.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and happy and creative New Year.

Sylvia  xx
