600th POST Lynnda ~ Layering up your Colour Chemistry PURE Inks

600th Post

Welcome to the 600th post on this blog, of course, I could not have possibly written 600 posts myself, and I must congratulate the whole team for all the brilliant makes they have blogged to achieve this milestone. I always intend to blog more often, and I really am amazed that some people manage to blog every day.
So how shall we celebrate?
Let's have a prize!
Leave a comment to enter ~ why not tell us what you favourite project has been so far? OK, let's get on with the post itself.

Layering up your PURE inks

You can create some really interesting "loose effects" stamping with just Colour Chemistry PURE Watercolour Inks. Include some pigment ink too and you give the ink more body and get a very different look. You can use similar colours or combine colour as always the choice is yours.
Here is a little video with me trying to show you exactly what I mean by that.

I was using the Moutain Ash Leaf stamp or you could treat yourself to a great collection of leaves. Lynnda's Leaves is a great way to have a good selection of leaves,

I was using several sprays all made from Colour Chemistry PURE inks. The colours I used were Citrus Lime, French Mint, Citrus Yellow, Peter's Pear.
For my ink pads, I chose Colour Chemistry Pigment Ink Spring Green and Triple Vintage Browns.

So don't forget to leave a comment and I will draw a winner on Friday.

Hi Lynnda (and hello to your friends too)

Congratulations on your 600th blog post. Just think of all the knowledge and inspiration you have passed on in that time

I've enjoyed your video. I would never have thought of spraying pure inks onto pigment ink on a stamp but it works so well that I need to give it a go

I can't choose a favourite project - my memory is so bad that it's hard enough trying to remember what I had for dinner LOL. However, I love reading the blog for all the inspiration and ideas you share

What an achievement and dedication to the art of crafting. I love the project and I think my favourite is the Thoresby stamp which seems so versatile with the brusho's which are brilliant.

Congratulations, I especially remember the leaves and trees stamp posts late last year, this year I've enjoyed reading many posts, especially the clematis and serenity prayer stamp post. X x

Firstly congratulations on 600 blog post x great achievement . As for choosing a favourite well, where on earth do you start there are too many faves to pick just one. Personally I love Oak House products and they really are my first stop when starting a project unless it calls for say a flamingo or something bizarre that I know I dont have in my OHS collection. The stamps are great and I love the one stamp events where just one stamp is used and so many people come up with ideas using the same stamp that you would just never have thought of so vesality is brilliant. The stamp pads are rich and luscious colours with many colours to choose from and the inks are just WOW brilliant - one little bottle can be used so many ways and you can achieve so many hints and tints of the same colour , they can be used to stamp, colour , colour ribbons etc and fabric flowers so you just know your whole project is colour co-ordinated. Me I just love them xx
