silver box

As you may know since moving into the studio I have been learning more about silver clay, the way this works great with my stamps is amazing. I have made a piece this month all by myself without having to ask "miss". I am really proud of this multi task piece so I decided to a make a box to present it. I tied the silver to a card as if to give it as a gift. Hope you like it.

making lemonade

They say when life throws you lemons make lemonade. Well I was trying some kiss stamping with acrylic paints and stamping on to canvas, but nothing was going right. So I decided to take a print from the texture plate. This is one of my favorite textures called Thoresby, I like it so much we have it in 3 sizes. I loved the outcome so made book covers. What do you think?

Summer Special.

Ok two days of bargains, I really need to make space in the warehouse, so much of my treasures will have to go. Paper, Card, Stamps, Ink Pads, Embossng Powders, Envelopes,Embellishments...I am going weak at the knees thinking about it.

Ok so the rest of the website needs more work, but as you probably know I do everything here from make the teas to drawing most of the stamp designs and writing the website so sometimes I do get a bit behind.

The good news is this weather is making days up at the studio just beautiful so if you fancy some me time get yourself booked in to one of the classes. Club Class on Tuesday morning will suit those of you who have mastered the basics. If you need a bit more intensive help look at the other classes.

I am back

Not really sure where I have been, the theory was I taking time to work on designs etc but the time has flown.
My diary starts getting busy again so not sure when I will eventually catch up. I have sorted out a list of workshops for the studio in July including the long awaited return of regular classes. They will be Tuesday mornings through July and then will be reviewed. I hope to get the list published on the website today so check it out. The next open day at the studios when all the artists will be there is Sunday 18th July 10am to 4pm. A FREE prize draw to win time with the artists of your choice. This weekend Saturday 26th June I will be at the Craft Room in Lincoln leading a week long guest invasion. So if you are in the area, pop in and say hello.

busy week

I have had a busy week with no finished craft projects, I been working on jewellery with Tracy and have lots planned for this next week.
I have taken time out with Martin to go watch GB men play volleyball in Sheffield. I have seen quite a few international matches over the years (I even been a linesman at over 34) but this one was pretty special. GB were in a tight corner, they needed to win in straight sets and with at least 16 points between the teams. Setter and team captain Ben Pipes had organised tickets for his old team mates and we turned out in force.
We met up for a meal first and by the time we got to the match we were ready to make as much noise as possible. It was hard to believe Ben had come so far from the young 12 year old we first met at YPI in Hull. He motivated his team and played brilliantly. He took time to speak to his family and his old team before having to dash off to speak to the press. We were all so proud of Ben and the whole team who came to do a job, won the game with points to spare, very tense, but so up lifting well done.
