Double Daisy Card With Gesso Background

http://designsforoccasions.blogspot.co.uk/

Hi Sylvia here with another One Stamp Project.  This is a quick and easy card to make whether you are an experienced crafter or new to stamping/crafting.  I used the resist technique for the background using gesso but you can use stamping and embossing, or just clear embossing ink to get the same effect on your backgrounds.

Materials used

I used the solid pallete stamp for the background, stamping it with gesso.  When it dried I blended the pink and blue pigment inks over the whole card.  The gesso daisies appear like magic as you add the coloured inks.  The outline daisy was stamped onto plain card with black ink  and heat embossed.  It was coloured with the pink and blues, fussy cut and added to the card.
The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto the card to finish.
Don't forget to comment on the blog posts here this weekend for a chance to win a prize.

Sylvia xx

Another wonderful card and great technique. I use my Powder Blue and Sea Blue ink pads a lot but I'm now thinking I really ought to get my Dusky Pink out too.

Wow I absolutely love this!!! The dusky rose is one of my favourite colours, and seeing how it blends with the blues I will be trying that myself. The resist background and the heat embossed daisy look so great together.
