Border Challenge

Hello fellow bloggers, it's Clare again and I'm here with my first creation for the Oak House Studios 'Borders' challenge. To be in with a chance of a fabulous Oak House Studio prize you need to use at least one of their products on your project. Although the theme is quite specific I like to try and think outside the box and put my own spin on things. This is what I came up with to start this months challenge.

For this card I used:
Bumper winter leaves set
Without change stamp
Triple butterfly set
Pumpkin ink in a bottle
Chocolate ink in a bottle
Jubilee red ink in a bottle
Citrus green ink in a bottle
Clear embossing powder
Spring green, lemon yellow and Valentine colour chemistry ink pads
I started off this card by stamping the leaf onto a couple of post it notes and cutting out, I then stamped the same leaf into the four corners and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then carefully stamped around the edge of my card using the post its to mask off the leaves and create some layers. The sentiment was stamped in the middle and heat embossed with embossing powder. The butterflies were stamped around the sentiment using the above coloured ink pads. I painted the leaves using the same ink pad colours and then started to play around with the shades by mixing the inks in a pallet. I finished off by filling in any white gaps in the border with citrus ink in a bottle.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this post. It's your turn now, let's see those entries flying in for the challenge.
