Sea Shell Border

Hi everyone Sylv here, October has arrived and so has a new challenge here at Oak House Studio. here is a card I made for this month's theme which is Borders and Frames.  I chose to use  the very detailed sea shells and sea life stamps, they stamp beautifully and are some of my favourite stamps.

This simple card was created using smooth white card cut and folded into a card blank. The sea shells were placed in a line on an acrylic block and stamped on each edge of the card using sea blue pigment ink,   The crab was stamped onto smooth white card using vermilion and a little yummy chocolate pigment ink and the edges coloured with the sea blue.  A piece of corrugated card was roughly torn into a square to fit the center of the stamped frame and brushed with white acrylic paint, this was added to the card with the stamped crab image.

Why not join us for this month's Frames and Borders challenge, we would love to see your cards and any other projects with borders or frames using Oak House Studio stamps or inks .  Details of how to enter and this month's prize can be found on the inkspiredbyoakhousestudio facebook page.

I love this project. As autumn takes hold, it's good to remember sunny days and shells on the beach. Great use of the shells to create a frame.
